For the king's stables

Here is a photo from a token of the Rouyer collection published at the start of the XXth century. The Rouyer collection was mainly of counters from the middle age. he wrote during the XIX th century a very intresting book called "Histoire du jeton au Moyen Age" .

On the obverse : COVTES POVR LE ROY a horse under a lily.
On the reverse : a rake between two lilies.

Jeton utilisé par les écuries du roi. Notamment par les régisseurs pour la tenue des comptes.
