Counter of Tournai

Before the raise of the city of Nuremberg as the major place of counter's production was the city of Tournai.
Here is and exemple of the start of the XVth century .
On the obverse : IOIE SAN FIN AVE MARIA three circles and masks.
On the reverse : IETTOIS DE TOVRNAI a cross and flowers.
