Gold Securities Trust Limited Doorstop!
For about 15 years this old stamping press has been used as a Doorstop by my mum. We eventually got around to stamping the logo to see what it was and I got a nice surprise!
The stamp reveals the company as The Gold Securities Trust Limited it's obviously very old I'm guessing Victorian or early 1900s as it's decorated a bit like a singer sowing machine.
I can't find any information about the company so curious if anyone's heard of them before please let me know below. I'm guessing it was just used to embossed official letters. It's a very cool item that's for sure.
Ive had a look on companies house and there is no exact match, even past names dont match https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/search./companies?q=the%20gold%20securities%20trust%20limited
Man you are fast!
No i prempted what i was looking for, found them for sale on ebay but hes asking about the company "the gold securities trust limited" which doesn't seem to exist.
I googled it couldn't find anything, sometimes it's fun to solve a mystery.
I enjoy researching and trying to find something but ive been down too many rabbit holes, if i searched hard enough i would probably find this company was founded by David Rockerfeller and David Ickes great great grandfathers and it once employed Donald Trumps great grandfather, a grand knight of Malta to survey Palestine for a possible future state of Israel with ties to Peugeot and Fanta orange and the island of Diego Garcia and the company had a subsidiary that maintained the lift shafts in the world trade centre and you can trace the lot back to Captain Blackbeard who was the last of the knights templar and a direct decendant of Queen Elizabeth who is 5,000 years old and tried to hide the pyramids and buried Gobeki Tepi so none of us suspected a thing and they would have got away with it too had it not been for us pesky stackers
Nice find mom! lol
You could make it an @owenwat ssg stamp!
Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold
Kinda sounds like a trust company ;) Interesting door stop
Very cool!
Perhaps, it's a sign that all vestages of the old banking industry will become useful for nothing but doorstops in the future.
