THE mystery of serial killings in the Whitechapel area of London, England in the fall of 1888 still leaves a big question to this day.

Although the case was declared closed in 1892, the crimes committed by Jack the Ripper have not been completed until now, especially the original identity of the perpetrator.

There are 7 theories of identity of the perpetrator, ranging from women, lawyers to the prince. However, according to the most recent historical research, Jack the Ripper is actually Frederick Bailey Deeming.

Deeming is one of the most violent criminals in British history. From London, he went to Yorkshire to spread other ruthless acts after he committed serial killings in Whitechapel.

In 1892, Deeming was hanged in Melbourne, Australia. However, at that time no one recognize that he is the real Jack the Ripper.

So how does Deeming travel into the legendary figure of the killer?

Is the historian Mike Covell who makes the chronological journey of Demming in his book Jack The Ripper - Or Something Worse? He describes the man with the darkest character with Whitechapel serial killer. So reported by Daily Mail, Sunday (28/08/2016).

Covell collects stories over the years with deep research. He even looked for archives not only in England but to Australia. Digging data tucked into the files of the Department of Home Affairs and Scotland Yard.

Covell discovered Deeming was born in Derbyshire in 1853. He emigrated to Australia with his wife Marie James. In the 'backyard' of England, Deeming problem with the law for fraud.

The couple returned to England and in 1888 Deeming lived alone in Whitechapel. The exact start of serial killings in that location began.

His name appears in the Scotland Yards file in the murder. Even a London-based shirt maker who appeared in court said Deeming was the Ripper.

However, after not enough evidence and failed to be declared a suspect, he fled from London to East Yorkshire. In the city, he introduced himself as an Australian miliader named Frederick Lawson.

Posing as Lawson, he married Nellie Matheson, a 21-year-old woman. Though he was still married to Marie. It was 1890.

Shortly after marriage he was detained for 9 months for fraud. Then, he fled to Montevideo in Uruguay. In the Latin American country, he was again involved in the criminality that made him deported to England and detained.

After being released in July 1891, Jack the Ripper's first victim, Mary Jane Langley was found dead in a ditch not far from the prison where Deeming was detained. The 18-year-old woman's neck was slashed.

Deeming returned to his first wife, who he later killed with their four children. His family was grave and cemented under the kitchen floor.

He re-married his third wife, Emily Lydia Mather. In November 1891, the couple went to Australia. And a month later, the woman was killed.

Deeming strangled to death on Christmas Day. Covering the body of his 25-year-old wife with cement under one of their bedroom floors.

But this time Deeming was caught. Police found a collection of knives, swords and axes at his home.

Scotland Yard was finally interested in Deeming. Moreover, they found the body of his family. They soon left for Melbourne where he was hanged for murder.

"Earlier people thought Deeming was in prison when the Whitechapel serial murder started," Covell said.

"But I found the opposite: he was released from prison, especially as a newspaper seller described how Deeming always bought a lot of newspapers after the murder was published by the media, and he looked so eager to read it ..."
