the Green March celebrated (06/11/1975)
The feast of the Green March celebrated by the Moroccan people on November 6 of each year in commemoration of the peaceful march launched by the late Hassan II on November 6, 1975 to annex the Western Sahara occupied by Spain to the motherland.
The King gave the start to 350,000 Moroccan volunteers armed with the Koran and the Moroccan flag who were marching peacefully towards the Moroccan Western Sahara, colonized by Spain to put pressure on the latter who withdrew from the Moroccan territory.
