Ancient History Sumerians

While i was looking on youtube for some movies about the links between religions i stumbled on a presentation about the ancient sumerians. And i found it quit interesting. I never heard it off before. But there are also a lot of people trying to debunked the things he said. for me its really plausible, maybe because it's an awesome story or its the answer for many many questions. They found a lot of clay tablets with they try to translate. But it i will always the translator's interpretation. What do you think, is this where we come from, or do you believe in something else. And on what is that based on?
