Sometimes the earth is represented by a male deity.Earth god usaully ay a slightly role from earth goddesses. Although they may be involved 8n the creation, they are more likely to be authoritarian than nurturing, mirroring on a cosmic scale the role of king emperor. They can also have a very strong sex drive, the Egyptian Earth god Geb, for example, had tobe prized apart from his sister, Nut, so that the earth and the sky could come into being.
