Saturn is both king and god according to Roman mythology. The characteristic features of Saturn are similar to those of Kronos in Greek mythology. Saturn can control the time. Saturn is also the god of agriculture. So the Roman farmers would pray to Saturn. And Saturn brought abundance to harvests. Saturn lives on earth. And Saturn directed Italy. And the time when Saturn was ruled in Italy is called the golden age.
