Flavius ​​Iulius Valens

Valens was born in 328. Valens's full name is Flavius ​​Iulius Valens. Valens became emperor of the Roman state in 364.

Valens wanted to fight against the Sassanids as their first job after becoming an emperor. But at this time, rebellions against Valens began in the Roman state. Valens repressed these rebellions.

Valens started a war against the Persians in the East. But the Goths, who escaped from the Huns, wanted to take refuge in Roman state from the Valens. Valens accepted this request. The Goths, who settled in the Roman state, initiated a rebellion against Valens. Since Valens is in the east, he sets off little Roman troops to fight the Goths. But the Goths defeated these Roman troops.

Then, in 378, Valens fought against the Goths with the whole army. But the Got cavalry have been exceptionally successful in this battle. And the Roman cavalry, they flee from war. Valens was killed in the battlefield. After this war, the collapse of the Roman state began.
