Edward the Elder
Edward was born in 874. Edward became the king of the Wessex state in 899. The people of Wessex told Edward the Edward the Elder.
In Edward, like Alfred, he was thinking of unifying Britain under a single state. Thanks to Alfred, Wessexin had a strong army and Wessex could not be looted by the Vikings. But the Vikings did loot all the other kingdoms of England. Edward conquered Eastern Anglia, which was in the hands of the Vikings, who benefited from this opportunity. He also conquered many parts of Edward Mercia.
Edward is more concerned with military politics. And thanks to Edward, the Wessex army had a magnificent power. In particular, the defeat of the Viking armies, called the non-renewable, has increased the confidence of the Wessex army.
