Bilecik

According to research, Bilecik was used as a city for the first time in 3000 BC. Bilecik has been a very important city due to its wide plains. And many states tried to conquer Bilecik.

Bilecik was ruled by the Roman Empire and the Byzantine Empire for many years. But after the 13th century, the Turks began to live in Bilecik and its surroundings. In 1299, Bilecik was conquered by the Ottoman Principality. Bilecik is the first city of the Ottoman Empire. Therefore, Bilecik is an important city for the Ottoman Empire. After the breakup of the Ottoman Empire, Bilecik has become a city of the Republic of Turkey.
