A lot of presidents and politicians who have admitted to experimenting with #Weed, but none other than Kennedy who had used it while in the White House.

John F. Kennedy was president of the United States in the early 1960's, at a time when the Cold War could not have been more hot.

He had the Highest Approval Rating of any American president after World War II, so the nation was very hurt on November 22, 1963, when he was assassinated in Dallas, TX by Lee Harvey Oswald.

JFK & WEED

The Nation don’t often talk about JFK's #Marijuana Use! Anyway, he would probably be considered a Medical Marijuana Patient, if he was alive today, but I believe there are a lot of reasons, behind his cannabis use:

  • Politically Speaking there was a lot of tension at this time, so it’s hard to imagine he was able to enjoy the experience very much. He probably was just bombarded by thoughts of the Russians invading.

  • It was the sixties and it seems that the Social Revolution being experienced all across the country even made its way into the presidency.

  • He was also embroiled in a scandal with Marilyn Monroe, faced down the Soviet Union in the Cuban Missile Crisis, and oversaw a nation in turmoil at the height of the Civil Rights era.

  • Plagued by Back Pain, he resorted to using the substance to quell his symptoms, and to help alleviate the agony he felt.

JFK Lighting up in the White House

A Biography contains a story about JFK smoking three joints with a woman named Mary Meyer. He allegedly said, after the third joint:

"Suppose the Russians did something now."
