While the conversations around RACIST ADS continue, among many examples, the one you are about to see shocked me the most with its "brutality". What a shame!

In just 30 seconds, the ad simply humiliates WOMEN, denies the HOLOCAUST (making fun out of a genocide equals nothing but genocide denial), and also, tries to sell a product (a "shampoo" actually ; and yes, you heard it right) with help of a Genocide Perpetrator, Adolf Hitler! ...

Maybe WE should really stop thinking it can't get any worse than what DOVE DID WITH THEIR AD, right?

Let's see what Adolf Hitler talks about in this ad..:

It's also very ironic (OR, consistent?) that this "SHAMPOO AD" comes from a country that still denies the Armenian Genocide, the systematic annihilation of Armenians which led Raphael Lemkin to coin the term "Genocide"...

Yes, the "Shampoo Brand" in question is a brand from Turkey. It comes from a country where "genocide denial" is a tradition for almost a hundred years. Of course, when we talk about a state that denies a genocide with all of the power of its institutions, it shouldn't be a surprise for us to see a brand that denies another systematic killing (or makes FUN of it), the Holocaust.

If "genocide denial" becomes a part of the daily life (on a purpose, for sure), you can be sure that there won't be any punishment for the hate speech / violence pointed towards "victimized groups" like Jews and Armenians.

So, while having a discussion about a marketing project (to sell a shampoo), with help of the "educated team" you have (so called "university grads"), you CAN finally come up with the idea of "SELLING A SHAMPOO WITH HELP OF A BLOODY GENOCIDE PERPETRATOR" - You also think that's NORMAL. Because GENOCIDE DENIAL is a powerful and profitable tool especially for those who have COMMON BENEFITS, not only the SHAMPOO BRAND but an entire country.

If an entire country was built on the ashes of the autochthonous people of Anatolia (Armenians, Assyrians, Greeks) and confiscation of their properties ; the one and the only solution of the "perpetrator" would be "the denial of the crime".

In a region (Anatolia) where more than a million people brutally killed in the most barbaric conditions, as a result of systematic ethnic cleansing, GENOCIDE DENIAL provides a very profitable solution for the perpetrators, for those who have COMMON BENEFITS..: Confiscated Properties of Armenians, Greeks, Assyrians. Denial is everywhere. Because of being everywhere, it's invisible. Because of being invisible, it's very dangerous for the targeted groups.
  
  Today, only a very small minority of Turkey's youth population is aware that The Armenians and The Greeks are actually the native inhabitants of Anatolia. Because of being "dangerous", information like that cannot be shared with CHILDREN. Then, the children grow. A vicious circle!
  
  Can you imagine a country where almost all of its academic personnel worships a figure similar to Adolf Hitler when it comes to his actions towards Armenians, Greeks and other autochthonous groups? It's a deeply devastating fact that we still have to explain why genocide denial is VERY DANGEROUS and WRONG, whether be institutional or in a "Shampoo AD" form... Actually, the "SHAMPOO AD" is a direct result of the intitutional attitude of the state(s) towards marginalized ethnic groups - The same is also valid for the DOVE AD.

The companies behind those ADS being racists or not has no value in this problem, but THEIR so called ADS (far beyond absurd) definitely serve racism (because the opposite is simply NOT possible) and feed the monster of RACISM by NORMALISING it.
