I took the liberty to read everything you've been up to now in the series, plus some other additional posts. I agree with practically everything you write, just everything seems to agree with what I have studied in the history of Venezuela.
With the pact of puntofijo and the last government of Andrés Peréz, the truth is that the situation was clearly not the same to which Venezuelans were accustomed, but never comparable to what is lived now, those times were happy if will buy the current one. sadly it is a crisis that did not know how to manage on time.
