What an excellent question.

For me the first person that came to mind was Hugo Chavez Frías, the former president of Venezuela and one of the most sinic and manipulative people who have ever stepped on this planet capable of physical and psychological abuse that marked and continue to mark an entire generation.

This man came to power professing to be the savior of the poor, the liberator of lost and ignored causes; but the truth was just a phony because during his time as president he was dedicated to destroying a country that was growing and has plunged it under the political and social military control of an authoritarian regime that only cares about its pockets.

Hugo Chavez was so Machiavellian that when one of the most devastating natural disasters of the last century occurred in the country, he let thousands of people die for the arrogance of not wanting to receive the help offered by countries that simply did not align themselves with his political agenda and with those who had political frictions.

In the end destiny did justice to his tyranny and took him from this world, but even to this day Venezuela still feels the onslaught of his legacy of death, corruption and social destruction.
