The first time the flame thrower was used in combat was in this movie. Our guys found out that the 30-06 round would go through the operator, and the tank behind him...UGLY!

No, sorry, the Germans brought up flame throwers to take the hill. The 30-06 went through the German operator, and breached the flame thrower tank on their back...woosh!
:'(oh my gosh! I didn't know why had 30-06's over there...what was the regular issue rifle? the 30-06 was what the snipers used right?
and was it like in the movies when the tank got ruptured the operator got engulfed in flames?
