Czech National Cemetery

The Czech National Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa has a lot of history to it. For well over 100 years now the Czech people have buried their dead there when they pass away. Most of the Czech and Slovak people are already dead and resting in their eternal resting places. The cemetery itself leaves a lot of history to that side of town. I took the liberty of taking some pictures and posting them on steemit for all of you who are interested in this sort of thing.

Their are a lot of masoleums in the graveyard that hold the caskets of the Czech people.

The Czech people really pride themselves on their national heritage. Back in the day when these people where the only people in Cedar Rapids, the Czech town village was quite a booming neighborhood. The passing century has been filled with a lot of their businesses and shops. The Czech Village is just down the street from this cemetery and still has quite a lot of people who come there and remember the Czech people. Some say the famous graveyard has lingering spirits and ghosts that lurk about. From what I've seen, it's a peaceful place that honors the memories of fallen soldiers and civilians. It is definitely a large cemetery and a lot of people are here, buried.
