Valea Malaiesti
There is an altitude of 1720 m at the upper limit of the forest - on one of the thresholds, a cottage with the same name built to facilitate direct access to Bucegi from Barsa Country through Rasnov. Other anthropic structures in the area are the Mălăieşti Salvamont Refuge and a sheepdog.
From the cabin the routes - upstream, are heading
to the Omu and Scara peaks, crossing the glacier valleys to the Hornul Mare to the Horns Saddle
towards Padina Crucii, to reach the upper valley of the Gypsy valley
to the ridge of Bucşoiu Mountain through the Brânţa Caprelor
Touristic routes that include parts of the Mălăeşti valley - upstream of the cottage, are forbidden in winter
