The Story of Prince Diponegoro Struggle (Indonesian Heroes)
Pangera Dipenogoro was touched by his heart to see the suffering of the people during the colonial era. He felt the fate of the people must be defended.
Resistance
At that time the Dutch installed stakes in the construction of roads through the houses, mosques, and ancestral tombs of Prince Diponegoro.
That was what started the Prince Diponegoro's resistance.
He courageously revoked the stakes of the road construction. This triggered the attack on the residence of Prince Diponegoro in Tegalrejo.
Since then, there has been a great war called the Java War or the Diponegoro War (1825-1830).
Guerrilla War
Prince Diponegoro soon gathered strength. Its main supporters are Pangeran Mangkubumi, Kyai Mojo, and Sentot Ali Basya Prawirodirdjo.
The Diponegoro troops could initially hit Dutch troops.

Negotiations
The Dutch invited Prince Diponegoro to negotiate.
Negotiations were held on March 28, 1830, but the negotiations failed.
However, Prince Diponegoro was immediately arrested on orders from General De Kock. Prince Diponegoro was taken to Batavia on May 3, 1830.
