Unveiling a major military weapon

Today 102 years ago the very first tank prototype called Little Willie was unveiled in England. It was not an over night success as the tank was a bit slow and overheated too fast. His follow-up model called "Big Willie” was launched in 1916 and used in a battle in World War I in France. Tanks had potential and brains as well as money went into the development resulting in tanks becoming a very important weapon until present (e.g. in desert combats). The name 'tank' came from the attempts ensuring the secrecy of the new weapons under the guise of water tanks. Britain was pioneer and much more advanced here as France or Germany.
