I. August 19, 1493,
Maximilian, I was officially pronounced as the Holy Roman Emperor by the then pope. This was after sharing emperor duties with his father for 10 years before then. He ruled from 1486 - 1508.

II. August 19, 1587
On this day in 1587, another European king started his rule. Sigismund III from the Vasa Family became king. He also ruled Sweden for while and tried to join the two entities together.
III. August 19, 1934
One of the worst leaders in human history was elected by over 38 million Germans. Goes to show you how easy it is to convince the masses. Adolf Hitler ruled as Germany’s leader from 1933-1945.

IV. August 19, 2010
After killing thousands of Iraqis and destroying their country, U.S - “the model freedom leader” finally evacuated the last of its troops from Iraq. The entire invasion was called - Operation Iraqi Freedom. Ironically, there are still U.S troops in Iraq up till now.
