Pemandangan dari atas bukit yg berada tepat dibelakang benteng kota Lubok

Benteng Kuta Lubok terletak di Desa Lamreh, Aceh Besar. Benteng ini dipercaya sebagai benteng tertua di Aceh, beberapa sejarawan meyakini benteng ini sudah dibangun semenjak Kerajaan Lamuri sekitar abad ke 9 M. Namun demikian ada juga yang berpendapat benteng ini dibangun oleh Portugis, pendapat lain mengatakan benteng ini dibangun pada masa Kerajaan Aceh Darussalam.

*Kuta Lubok fortress, located in Lamreh, Aceh, Indonesia. This fort has a really wonderful scenery and long history. some historians believe that this fortress is the oldest fort around Aceh, built around 9th century by Lamuri kingdom. Some believe that this fortress buit by Portuguese while the rest believe that this fortress built around the era of Aceh Darussalam Kingdom.

*To reach Kuta Lubok Fortress you need to at least has an adventurer's soul, as the road to the fort has not been paved, so it is very risky to pass. Some of my friends fell off the motorcycle while on our way, so in the end we chose to walk to the fortress.* Untuk mencapai benteng kita akan melalui berbagai rintangan, salah satunya jalan yang berkerikil dan becek (kebetulan hari itu hujan) jadi kebayangkan gimana ribetnya.

*Most part of this fort was badly damaged, besides destroyed by the age, Tsunami in 2004 also exacerbated the state of this fort.* Sebagian besar bangunan benteng ini telah rusak parah, selain karena dimakan usia, Tsunami pada tahun 2004 turut memperparah keadaan benteng ini.
