yeah that had to be torture for the mother, they left the 2 year old there, I guess they had too long of a trip back to their home emcampment and had no squaws to take care of the little one. I agree about the brother but...shoot I don't want to say anything else! lol. don't worry it's not tragic news.
That is just brutal to fire at the girl running away. I am definitely not on the natives side this time.
haha! well, if it helps any the Texas Rangers were killing any groups of Indians they could find. Men, women and children.
Both sides saw it as war with an evil, deadly enemy. I guess I should explain that in the next post so people don't get all outraged at just the Indians. At least the Indians took captives and they had a chance to live, the whites just killed them all!

well, in some ways yes. But skirmishes with Indians was rare. Getting kidnapped was even more rare. It was mostly a time of incredible growth and expansion and establishing towns and counties and such. Most settlers never saw Indians and when they did it was to trade goods with them and there were no problems. I guess I better explain that too! lol.

I imagine it like that - like how life is in the every day now, compared to what is discussed on the news. Life for most people is not that eventful.
yes thank goodness for most of us it isn't anything to write about on normal days. Well, you are the exception to that rule because you make everyday occurrences an adventure in life!
