Photographs of railway construction in South Africa 19th century. Amazing masonry of the bridges and the natives - the miracle of stonemasons.
As the official history says, at the end of the 19th century on the territory of South Africa, in about 4 years it was built about 1600 km of Railways. With bridges and tunnels.
There are many photos of this event.
Of course the pictures were staged. But it is possible to understand who built this road.
And the question immediately arises.
For example photographs showing the clearing of land for construction of the bridge supports.
the
Showing work - the native, clearly not understanding how to hold a shovel. But it is bad.
He stands around with a broken concrete slab of irregular shape. As if there was something filled with concrete. Who poured it?
Clearly not these natives. You can tell from the other pictures.
the
Here they are with sledgehammers and pretend that they break the concrete. Why was it to fill.
Or is it the remnants of the destroyed bridge?
On another photo a ready-made bridge.
the
And from the opening. It turns out the indigenous Africans were able to put the blocks of polygonal walls!!!
the
And here we head to break. Here is who did it around the world.
the
However there are no pictures which shows how to build a stone revetment. As Tessa stone.
As the ride unloaded.
The image is another strange moment.
the
People stand on some blocks. It seems here, too, began to lay the walls. And then spat and decided to put a metal support. Or this place is just the remains of the destroyed masonry? But why should it be built and then destroy it?
The next picture is equally amazing.
the
Already the devil is with her, with polygonal walls (although it is generally perfect).
Why spend so much effort on the device of the arches, and then they are just stupid to bury it?
Yes, and the shrub to plant.
Amazing engineers built this bridge in the late 19th century.
To finish this post I want this photo.
the
Visible, scattered blocks, and in the middle of the funnel. Who threw the bomb?
Or these bridges are not built, and used the remaining after someone?
After whom?
