Mount Fradis .. Bethlehem .. Palestine

in #history6 years ago

It is located in the south east of Bethlehem and contains a Roman fortress built by the Roman emperor Herodius and Herod the Great, whose name was associated with Christian religious mythology with the story of the murder of the children of Bethlehem on the eve of the birth of Jesus. .

The Herodion Palace is built on an artificial hill and is called the local population (Mount Freidis) and has another designation (the Euphrates), and it's A 290-foot-shaped cone, from which it can see sites in Jerusalem, the Jordan Valley, the Mu'ab Mountains of Jordan, the Dead Sea, various areas of Bethlehem, and its surrounding towns and villages, as well as Arab villages.

An Israeli guarding and an army camp are on site. There are several archaeological sites close to this palace, such as the large and huge cave of Khraiton, located in a valley named Khraiton. Caves in this area were found to have monuments that the researchers considered to date back to prehistoric times. There are also a lot of neglected archaeological ruins that have been excavated by the robbers of the ruins and the occupiers. There are Roman, Islamic and Arab monuments.

and now I'll leave you to enjoy some photos of this historical place
