My visit to the Roman Saalburg Taunus...Part 1 ...Mein Besuch in der Saalburg Römer Kastell..Teil 1 English/ Deutsch with 28 HQ Pictures

About 6 weeks ago on a beautiful sunny autumn Sunday I had spontaneously considered something to pay a visit to the Römerkastell Saalburg in the Taunus near Frankfurt. Said done. Once it was a huge fight ever to get a parking space, but patience paid off and I got a parking lot very close to the entrance. In the surroundings of the fort you could marvel at remnants of past Roman civilization first of all a few pictures.

Vor ungefähr 6 Wochen an einem wunderschönen sonnigen Herbstsonntag hatte ich mir spontan etwas überlegt,nähmlich dem Römerkastell Saalburg im Taunus in der Nähe von Frankfurt einen Besuch abzustatten.Gesagt getan.Erstmal war es ein Riesenkampf überhaupt einen Parkplatz zu ergattern,denoch geduld zahlte sich aus und ich bekam einen Parkplatz ganz in der Nähe des Einganges.Im Umfeld des Kastells konnte man schon Überreste vergangener Römischer Zivilisation bestaunen hierzu erstmal ein paar Bilder.

So after I explored the area something it was time to go to the Saalburg and I was very happy .. from the outside it seemed very impressive with the high imposing protective wall around the castle

So nachdem ich die Gegend etwas erkundet habe wurde es Zeit in die Saalburg zu gehen und darauf freute ich mich sehr..von aussen wirkte es schon sehr beeindruckend mit der hohen imposanten Schutzmauer um das Kastell

There were also a few info boards about Saalburg and their history in front of the entrance.

Es gab vor dem Eingang auch noch ein paar Info Tafeln über die Saalburg und ihre Geschichte.

After going through a room full of souvenirs, I came to the entrance and cash register area and there were plenty of panels on the history of the Saalburg and the Roman Empire and the Limes.

So nun aber rein in die Saalburg ich kann es kaum erwarten zu sehen was es tolles zu entdecken gibt.
Nachdem ich einen Raum mit Souvenirs durchlaufen bin kam ich in den Eintritts und Kassenraum und dort gab es jede Menge Tafeln zur Geschichte der Saalburg und dem Römischen Imperium und den Limes.

So nun aber genug Infos ich will Fakten sehen bezahlen und rein ins Historische Vergnügen.

After the great Roman statue of the Guardian and Emperor, you will enter the main gate through the main gate.

Nach der großen Römischen Statue dem Wächter und Imperator geht es durch das Haupttor in das innere des Kastells.

Now it will be exciting what I expected .. well that I'll show you in the next part if it says my visit to the Saalburg Roman fort. Since it is really great.
