Wearing Kupiah Meukeutop: Hat of the Greatness of the Kings of Aceh

This time I want to introduce the customary hat of Aceh, we call it with meukeutop.
The rupiah is usually used by warlords and sultans. Not just anyone can use this hat.

But since Aceh changed into an area within the country of Indonesia. The royal system is no longer used and becomes a republic. Therefore the king is no longer in power.

While the king's clothes such as meukeutop kupiah used only when the traditional event just like a wedding.

At the wedding ceremony we mentioned the bride with the title of king and queens a day. That is, they only wear the king's clothes and the queen is only one day.

Kupiah meukeutop made of woven fabric, a circle with the base color of red and yellow. Red means brave and yellow symbolizes the kingdom. Meanwhile there are also other colors such as green, black and white. Which means religion, determination and sanctity.

The kupiah is a circle, the bottom is big and then it gets smaller and smaller. And added dengab typical Aceh decorations.
