DINOSAURS: The End of the Dinosaurs

65 million years ago, at the end of the Cretacic period, the Earth underwent important changes in its environment. Animal and vegetable life were in danger. Perhaps only one of these changes affected life on Earth or perhaps a combination of several. Something is certain: the dinosaurs became extinct at that time. There are many theories to explain how dinosaurs disappeared.

IMPACT CRITER

In the 1990s, a meteor crater 180 m (110 miles) wide, on the seabed in the Yucatan peninsula, Mexico, was dated to the Cretaceous Period. The rock that formed the Chicxulub crater was 10 km (6 miles) wide. The impact could have produced so much dust, it blocked the sunlight and caused mass extinction.

DEATH FROM SPACE ?

The earth is continuously bombarded by waste from space, from dust particles to pieces of rock. Most burn when crossing the earth's atmosphere, but some are large enough to survive. The rocks of space that land on the surface of the Earth are called meteorites. A large meteorite fell in the earth and caused the massive commotion that caused the death of the dinosaurs?

OTHER THEORIES OF THE EXTINCTION OF DINOSAURS

DEATH BY VOLCANOES?

Towards the end of the Cretaceous Period there were many volcanic eruptions in what is now the center of India. They went on a large scale and threw a lot of dust into the Earth's atmosphere, where high winds carried it around the planet. Like the theory of the impact of a meteorite, this theory says that atmospheric dust blocked sunlight and caused many years of cold and darkness in the world. without sunlight, the plants did not grow, and without food, the animals died.

DEATH BY GIANT WAVES

If a giant meteor fell into the sea, it could have created a tsunami (a huge wave). If it exploded in the earth, it could have caused a shock sling so huge as to trigger earthquakes and landslides under the sea, which could have unleashed megaolas. These could have reached high speeds inland across the globe and, in a few hours, have covered the lowlands, destroying habitats and disrupting plant life and animal life on Earth.

DEATH BY CLIMATE CHANGE

In addition to throwing dust into the atmosphere, the volcans produce carbon dioxide, a poisonous gas that causes global warming. This theory says that high levels of carbon dioxide caused a climate change: Carbon dioxide prevented the sun's heat from returning to space and the Earth's climate became warmer. The water evaporated and the plants died. The animals, losing their food sources, also died.

An article that was interesting for me, so take the decision to show it to all of you, I hope you like it.

NOTWITHSTANDING THAT THIS ARTICLE WAS NOT TAKEN FROM THE INTERNET, ONLY THE IMAGES WERE TAKEN AND FOR THAT REASON I PLACE THE SOURCE OF THEM IN EACH OF THEM.

@elewisc, you copied everthing from here. You did some rewording and posted the content as your own. This is an act of academic fraud. Also, the images used in this post aren't free for use. You have used the steemstem tag but steemstem is strict about plagairism and won't support any plagiarist.

Sorry friend, I did not copy my article of that link you placed, the encyclopedia that I use is called E.EXPLORA, and they are in Spanish version. It has nothing to do with that link, which I should have placed at the end that was an original article by E.EXPLORA made by DK but that website is not active, if you're right. The images that I show are of reference to give an idea of what is spoken in the publication, that is why I place where they come from so that people know that it is like that, and there are no pitfalls in the publications. What do you suggest.?

No, you did copy everything from there. I don't know about anything E.EXPLORA but everyline from your post matches with the one in the link.

very interesting indeed only the bones remain but nobody knows what they were really

It's true, but it gives us an idea as it probably was that time and what happened
