The Ramses II Skull Mystery

An eight-meter statue has been discovered near the ruins of Ramses II’s temple submerged in groundwater, that supposedly is the image of the pharaoh Ramses II.

Curiosities

  • The shape of the skull is very odd. It's an elongated skull, a common attribute among another rulers of Egypt like Nefertiti.

  • The massive statue of Ramses II is made of quartzite, an extremely hard rock with a hardness reading of 8/10, a material that isn't water or acid-soluble. This stone can cut glass. In ancient Egypt they simply couldn't sculpt in this rock harder than granite with the tools they had.

  • Note the volume of the skull in these representations above. This points to the fact these aren't artificially elongated skulls. Some tribes used to make this process by wrapping the head in bandages from an early age, perhaps a desire to look like their "Gods". Below an image of a deformed head of a Mangbetu woman. The volume is not the same.

  • Skulls of this shape where found in Peru, Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey, Bolivia, Siberia and Austria. Below a skull on display at Museo Regional de Ica in the city of Ica in Peru.

  • All of these skull doesn't have the sagittal suture shown below:

  • Also, the skulls have unusual teeths, and the Foramen Magnum, a cavity in the base of the skull where the spinal cord passes through, is located in a different part of the skull with smaller proportions.

Conclusion

There are many things not being told in history books, pieces that have been destroyed or stolen from museums, sealed passages in monuments like the Sphinx, but sooner or later the truth will emerge from the depths of darkness.

Nothing is obscured underneath the sun.

Interesting I didn't know Ramses 2 had an elongated skull, but he still managed to live for about 90 years at the time.

There are many things we don't know about these monarchs from the ancient ages. I suspect that a lot of info is hidden.

Well, its better that information is hidden from the public because human sacrifices etc etc. Were the norm back in those days the world is already pretty bad at the moment because of violence and new ideas will only worsen it.

You're right. Some people are crazy. Just take a look to these "terror" acts.

Thank you!

One day a researcher spotted an unusually shaped skull in an Egyptian museum. I prefer to get https://www.bikerringshop.com/collections/skull-rings and learn more new tips for rings design. The piece was thought to have been part of the mummy's headdress, but no one knew whether it had belonged to Ramses II, the famous pharaoh who lived over 3,000 years ago. Until now. After discovering hidden text engraved on the top of the skull, researchers believe they have identified Ramses himself. The Ramses II skull mystery is one of the most intriguing mysteries in Egyptology, and yet it remains unsolved. It has led to many theories, some of which have been decisively overturned by recent research.
