Adamkayalar, located in the Valley of the Devil in the Erdemli district of Mersin, is not only an historical archaeological heritage not only in the historical Cilicia region but also in the world.

This private heritage, which has been destroyed by the conditions of nature, can not see the interest and protection it deserves as it is unfortunately many ancient mirasas.

About 7 km north of the Kizkalesi site, 12 pieces of artifacts on the steep slope of a deep valley have reached the site of the day.

These historical buildings, which have been ruined due to the construction of the gardens and natural conditions, are among the most exciting values ​​of the Mediterranean Region. Mankayalar was given the names of large human reliefs, which were estimated to be made between 1 BC and the 2nd century AD.

It is believed that these reliefs, attracting local and foreign tourists, have been built by relatives to keep the memory of important people alive.

This building group, which has no examples anywhere in Anatolia, consists of eleven men, four women, two children, a mountain goat and a Roman earthenware relief in 9 niches. It is believed that the region was sanctified and made because of the sense of gratitude to family and children from the leaders or important commanders of that period.

The change of style between human and animal figures made in about 250 years can be easily observed. In accordance with geographical conditions, Adamkayalar is situated at a strategic location, situated in a position that sees the Kizkalesi from above.
