1. Bruce Lee
Lee Jun-fan professionally known as Bruce Lee was an actor basically from Hong Kong and then from America.
He was also an film director, martial artist, philosopher and founder of martial art Jeet Kune Do.
He was regarded as one of the most influential martial artists of all time and an icon of pop culture of 20th century.
His famous movies include "Fists of Fury", "Way of the Dragon", "Enter the Dragon", "Game of Death" and "The Big Boss".
He was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People of 20th Century.
A 7 foot tall statue of Bruce Lee was unveiled in Chinatown, Los Angeles in 2013.
2. Jimi Hendrix
Jimi Hendrix was an American rock guitarist, singer and songwriter who is hailed as "the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music" by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
This is all in his mainstream career of 4 years only.
His main performances started in 1966 and his third album "Electric Ladyland" reached US number 1.
He was the world's highest paid performer of his time and was part of Woodstock festival in 1969 and Isle of Weight Festival in 1970.
He died in 1970 itself at the age of 27 because of Asphyxia (a condition of severely deficient supply of oxygen to the body).
3. Caroline Kennedy
Caroline Kennedy is an American author, attorney and diplomat who was United States of America's ambassador to Japan from 2013 to 2017.
She is the daughter of former US president John F. Kennedy and is the only surviving child of Kennedy family.
She is also the president of Kennedy Library Foundation and an adviser to Harvard Institute of Politics.
She currently serves (after her tenure of ambassador to Japan) board of directors on Boeing.
Her authoring books are "In Our Defense: The Bill of Rights in Action", "The Right to Privacy" and "A Family of Christmas".
4. Saqlain Mushtaq
Saqlain Mushtaq is a former Pakistani Test and ODI cricketer who was famous for his "doosra", a leg break delivery bowled with off break action.
He is regarded as one of the best spin bowlers in history of cricket.
He was the quickest bowler to take 100 ODI wickets and held that record till 2016 (when Mitchell Strac broke that record).
He also holds record as the youngest to take 100 and 200 wickets in ODI.
5. Kathryn Bigelow
Kathryn Bigelow is an American director, producer and writer who is best known for directing films like Near Dark, Point Break, The Weight of Water, The Hurt Locker, Last Days and recent one Detroit.
For her movie "The Hurt Locker", she was awarded with Academy Award for Best Picture and BAFTA Award for Best Film.
She also received a nomination for Golden Globe Award for Best Cinema for the same movie.
As of 2017, she is the only woman to win either of the Academy Award for Best Director, the Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directing, the BAFTA Award for Best Direction and the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Director.
She also holds the record of being first woman to win the Saturn Award for Best Directorfor movie "Strange Days" in 1995.
She was named "100 most influential people of the year" by Time in 2010.

Yes @arshi, the goal of this article is to provide details of legends who are celebrating their Birthday today. It's been almost a month since I started writing this as a daily blog and I have found positive response from people. Thanks for visiting.
