I used to love watching MASH when they would show the reruns on TV. It was a really interesting show. You are definitely right, it did a really good job of mixing the humor and the drama all together in one tight little package. There was definitely something really special about it.
i'm not sure if TV guide is still a company... it is unlikely, but there was a time when they were the authority on all things television... Therefore, to be considered the 8th best TV show of all time prior to the internet existing, I think that is a pretty solid rep.
I miss the TV guide. I remember the really thick fall preview edition. We were almost more excited to get that than we were when the Sears Christmas catalog came out.
