in #history7 years ago

Lalon Shah or Lalon Fakir (1774 - October 17, 1890) is one of the most influential spiritual devotees of the Indian subcontinent. He was one of the baul singers, lyrics of Baul songs, musicians and musicians. He was also called 'Baul Emperor'. Gandhi was also given the title of 'Mahatma' 25 years ago, first in the Indian sub-continent. Although Lalon Fakir is the creator of the most popular Baul songs, details of his life are not available. He is a Bengali whose birth place is presently in village Hariishpur of Jhenaidah subdivision of Jessore district of Bangladesh. There is a lot of disagreement with Lalon Shah's caste or community. This question was also in his lifetime. It is alleged from the surrounding evidence that he was born in a Hindu family, but his family abandoned him during his childhood. Then a Muslim named Siraj Sai gave him shelter and healed him. Lalon created a grove in Khurshia
