Drastic changes after the Tsunami hit Aceh in December 2004

So many changes that occurred in an Islamic building in Aceh-Indonesia, after being rocked by the earthquake and tsunami on 26 December 2004 ago. Baiturrahman Mosque located in Banda Aceh has now become one of the major mosques in Indonesia, its beauty is also very amazing.

Given also in the past few years, the devastated Aceh was so devastating and about 300,000 people died at that time. Starting from an earthquake shock that is so strong or reaches 9.1 to 9.3 on the Richter Scale and causes a large wave of sea water (Tsunami) that destroys 90% of the city of Banda Aceh, because the quake centered on the city.

Other cities in Aceh are also experiencing disasters (Tsunami) but other cities are not expected to be as powerful as the city of Banda Aceh.

Below I save some pictures of buildings (mosques) that remain intact even though Tsunami struck the building is so strong. But only this building is still standing firm, while other buildings such as houses destroyed and even lost carried Tsunami flow.

Most people fled into the great mosque, they survived, while others died because they could not resist the powerful Tsunami. 12 years have passed, So sad to remember the incident, everyone who was there in the great fear and cry for forgiveness from Allah SWT.

So shocking my eyes saw the building (Mosque) that has stood so beautiful, plus the decoration on the yard of the mosque. Not surprisingly, if most people want to take pictures there.

The building of this great mosque still has a characteristic form in the time before the disaster came, but people there heed it with great architecture.
