Atomic Bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki

The atomic bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nuclear strikes during World War II against the Japanese empire by the United States on the orders of US President Harry S. Truman. After six months of bombing 67 other Japanese cities, the Little Boy nuclear weapon was dropped in the city of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, followed by August 9, 1945, dropped the "Fat Man" nuclear bomb above Nagasaki. Both dates are the only nuclear attack ever.

This atomic bomb killed as many as 140,000 people in Hiroshima and 80,000 in Nagasaki at the end of 1945. Since then, thousands have died from injuries or pain associated with radiation released by the bomb. In both cities, the majority of the dead are residents.

Six days after the dropping of the atomic bomb on Nagasaki, on August 15, Japan announced that Japan surrendered unconditionally to the Allies, signing a surrender instrument on September 2, formally ending the Pacific War and World War II. (Germany signed the surrender on May 7, 1945, ending the European theater.) This bombing made postwar Japan adopt the Three Non-Nuclear Principles, forbidding the country to possess nuclear weapons.

"Hiroshima is a tangible example to explain the theory of atomic bomb strength and at the same time provide evidence. Hiroshima is a time of peace but once a hell, " said Peter Kuznick, a director of the US Nuclear Studies Institute at American University.

Bruce Blair, president of Global Zero, which is a nuclear abolition organization to be a weapon of war, also spoke.

"Hiroshima is the only place in the world to be a real example of a nuclear bomb, " said Bruce Blair.

Nuclear weapons, whatever the reason is a very dangerous weapon in the world and more dangerous if there is in the wrong hands. The dark history of the bombing of Hiroshima is in fact a sorrow for the world and we hope a disaster like this will never happen again.
