I think it has to do with there being a sense of mystery with them. Why were they built and how did they carry such huge stones way back then and stack them up so perfectly. Then there is the mystery of what is inside them - gold? Treasure hunters have got to love the mystery. So interesting your past with them. That you studied their writing! Thanks for the post!
