Life of Begum Rokeya Shakhawat Hossain

Begum Rokeya was a famous writer and social worker. She was born in a village Pairabondh, Rangpur, Bangladesh on 9th December 1880 in a rich family. She had a great thirst of knowledge. Her father noticed this and taught her at home.

Begum Rokeya Worked althrough her life to established the right for the woman. She died in Kalkata on 9th December 1932.

Today is her birthday. We, Bangladeshis are proud of her work. Especially women will be very grateful to her.
