The Basilica has an architectural style that is blend of Muslim, Romanesque and neoclassism. The church is still in the original stone texture and natural color which conveys a simple elegance.

Santo Nino bell tower was destroyed after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit the Visayas region last October 15, 2013. After two years of silence, it rang again after the bell tower was restored January last year. It was very hearwarming to hear that sound again and tears of joy overflowed to many devotees of St. Nino.

Sinulog festival is fast approaching this coming January 20&21, 2018. One of the biggest and grandest festival in the Philippines that we celebrate every 3rd week of January. One of the main highlights of the festival is the grand street parade with participants coming from the different towns and cities of Cebu, from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Nowadays, many tourists of different nationalities visit the Basilica to see the patron saint of Cebu at the same time be a part of Sinulog festival. Thousands of visitors everyday and they all pray before the miraculous figure of the Infant Jesus.
