I can build you a website with free hosting using Django CMS using Heroku free hosting. You could pay in upvotes or fiat or anything.
Did a site with Google ads at LearnGuitar.GA via @learnguitar, with a free domain from freenom.com. The streaming/media downloads would probably best using a different source like dsound maybe or something else to minimize hosting costs.
I have heard Heroku is some what expensive for non free service so if and when the site got more traffic might want to transition to a different hosting plan if you wanted to minimize hosting costs.
If you want to do a website yourself wix might be good and you should probably be able to point your domain to a wix site which is the same as heroku free hosting, but most people probably won't notice. Or wordpress/drupal if you want to do yourself is also a lot more user friendly than Django .
If you like the site LearnGuitar.ga the source is at, it pulls the @learnguitar profile but at somepoint may make a site that pulls steem posts:

That would be amazing! I will send you some cool promo stuff for my album when it becomes available for your efforts. I will def take you up on getting my website done. The layout of your site would work great for mine, just need to add a music streaming and download element to it.
You already have the domain name and a host? I've never done a music streaming and download element but I'm guessing I can figure it out. I never had reason to look at that.
Once we get going, I can show you some other cool layouts (themes) that I have access to.
I enjoy making websites and I like helping people who are trying to do something when they let me. :)

Yes I would agree to that. If you can figure out how to do the streaming/downloading music feature that will work. It is the main reason for having a site. I have a domain name yes but no host yet.

when you say streaming.. are you talking about a live event hosted on your website?
No just pre-recorded tracks. I want people to be able to stream/download my album directly from my website, no live video streams. I will let you know when the album is published within the next week, no tracks until then.

@elamental If you want to self-publish your work you will need to register with your local performing rights society, which in the USA is ASCAP or BMI. Once you're a member you can register your songs with the associated % for each contributor. What we used to do before the internet was to create a physical copy and mail it to yourself (so it has the date stamped on the package).
Alternatively you can sign your publishing to a company, but this is usually the case when you're making money from your music and don't have the time to follow up. Hope that helps
Thank you, I have opted to use CD Baby to publish my work officially for me. I believe they go through ASCAP if I am not mistaken. The technical side of all this is has been challenging for me, and I still do not fully understand it, but I feel I understand it well enough to do it finally, I just hope I do it correctly. Fingers crossed.
publishing and releasing would be two different things. I used to use CD Baby but I was still registered with SOCAN (candadian performing rights society) where I would register all my works. You may still need to register with ASCAP as I doubt CD baby would register it under your name, in which case CD Baby would take all the publishing royalties and you'd be relying on them to be truthful. Just a thought.

This album is free so there will not be many royalties to speak of, and they only take a percentage of them if they occur. CD Baby does in fact publish here, they are actually located in my town.

www.bandcamp.com is one of the best site for independent artist to self publish!! Good luck brother hope it works out.
Like I said I will definitely post the album to Bancamp, it is a great platform, but they do not offer official publication of albums like people think.
it's true it will not be on iTunes or Spotify. Other than being independent and selling through your own platform this is the only way to publish it for free. Any distribution is gonna wanna charge for the music thats how they make a good chunk of there money
