Salt Facts Part 2
Possible Causes of Elevated Blood Pressure: (Hypertension)
- Stress stimulates sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight). This can be actual stress in ones life or (stress; inflammation throughout the lymphatic system).
- Caffeine and other stimulants
- Toxins in body- detoxification may be in order
- Potassium deficiency (Unrefined salt has the necessary (K) (Kalium in latin.)
- Copper Deficiency- poor kidney function
- Low thyroid (iodine deficiency)
- High insulin- damaging to arteries
- Taurine deficiency leads to stiff blood vessels
- Magnesium deficiency
- Dehydration
- Hypertension is a drought in the body. When there is not enough water to fill all the blood vessels that diffuse water into vital cells.
You can reduce your blood pressure naturally by consuming plenty of water along with sea salt, without any harmful medication, such as diuretics that further dehydrate the body. When the blood pressure is raised, the body is operating a water-rationing program, meaning it has to raise the pressure to inject filtered water into vital cells.
As we are taught that salt is bad, take a look at the above examples that lead to hypertension and as yourself if that is the case??? Like many natural items created on our planet that were once used to heal or in general keep the body in balance, Salt was actually more expansive than gold, a commodity that even the word Salary is derived from Salt. In Celtic it means Holy. Only kings and monarchs had access to salt and if you had any, it was a rare opportunity. Today natural salt is widely available and underpriced, yet people are afraid of it! Remember when you were a fetus, 70% of the water is mostly salt water. This is in our DNA and our genes. Our bodies without salt cannot and will not function.
How do you know if you have too much salt? Water or foods get more salty in taste. Your tongue along with saliva that creates enzymes, tell you enough!
