Everest Anywhere

Last year I hiked the total ascent of Everest (8848m) over twelve months and thirteen hikes.

I took up the challenge which my favourite outdoors magazine (Trail) pushes every year.

I ascended a total of 10,165m during my thirteen outings, trying not to hike the same hill twice

1- Cwm Penmachno to Rhiwbach quarry to Llyn Newydd - 415m
2- Snowdon via PYG track - 900m
3- Forest lodge to Tomen y Mur - 406m
4- Cwm Prysor circular - 393m
5- Llanfairfechan to Drum, Foel-Fras & Llwytmor - 1287m
6- Tryfan via North Ridge - 630m
7- Craig Wen circular - 682m
8 - Snowdon Horseshoe - 1408m
9- Moel Fenlli & Moel Famau - 477m
10- Pen yr Ole Wen circular - 845m
11- Carneddau circular - 1305m
12- Penmaenbach Arete & Conwy mountain - 551m
13- Tryfan via North Ridge & Glyderau via Bristley Ridge - 969m
Total: 10,165m

The challenge has been started again this year but due to commitments to my cycling training for my big ride in the summer, I currently sit at a lowly 936m for 2019.

At this point last year I was almost halfway there.

However, I wont be giving up. As soon as my 250 mile charity ride is out of the way. I'll be back in the hills for sure...
