Hiking in the mountains of northern Norway.
The lake Reinveivannet 09.06.19.
Sunday 09.06 I and my dog Nero took our first hike to the lake Reinveivannet this year. I was excited about the snow had melted along the trail in the upper part. Here is a steep area as can be a litte unsure if it the trail is covered with snow. In the beginning we wandered through birk forest. The leaves on the trees were not quite sprung and we wandered up in the hight in a green light.
The streams are big when the snow melt in the mountain.
Higher up we met the first remaining of the snow from the winter.
When we reached the treeline a little rest is deserved.
From here and up is the steepest part of the trail. Where the path crossing the little river is som loose rocks and sand, and if there is lot of snow I have to be a little careful when crossing.
Up here it use to be many different kind of flowers, but it was too early to see some. Within a week or two they may blossom.
Most of the snow was melted so it was no problem up the last leg of the route up to the lake.
Half winter and half spring.
The goal for the hike. The lake was still covered with ice, a little part of it was free of ice.
Around the lake towards the sun there was lot of this little flowers. I like the contrast between new life in the spring and still snow around. The survive in quite low temperatures, especially during the night.
In the end the summer wins and this litte bush will be green.
A little open water and nice weather, of course I have to take a svim.
Sniffing around, maybe I can catch a mouse...
No mouse but a nice view.
Some birds, maybe they checking the condition for a nice place for nest.
I was fascinated of the flowers. There where not much else who had became green, almost only the flowers seems the have decided it was their time to give an extra beauty to the mountain.
A little ant.
I spent an hour crawling on the ground taking photos. Nero strolled around but get tired and decided to take a little nap.
Nero looking toward the innermost part of the fjord, called Rombaksbotn.
The sun breakes through the clouds a little, one more picture of the bush.
The view further in towards the mountains. A great area for hiking.
Another great hike done. Some exercise and recreation from the daily routines is refreshing.
Have a nice day.
Best regards
Harald
