Hiking the mountains in northern Norway.
Skiing in Beisfjord and Rombaken.
The easter holiday give great opportunities to get out in the nature. In Norway it is a tradition to get out skiing during the vacation. So do my family. We have had 4 nice hikes and this tour on ski on the mountain between the the fjord Rombak an Beisfjord is one of them. The distance across the mountain is around 13-14 km. We drove to Beisfjord and started the hike down in the village. The first kilometer is steep so on this leg we went on foot and carried the skies.
The steepest part is done and the ski is on. My daughters enjoying the view over the fjord and village Beisfjord where we started the hike.
The rivers is starting to grow and get more water as the snow is started to melt.
The trail go slowly uphills to the highest point to around 500 meters above the sea.

On the plateau where you can cross over to the Fjord Rombaken. On the highest point there is a lake and a few cabins. The first pictures is also a panorama from this part of the mountain. My daughters decided to cross the mountain and ski downhill to Rombaken while my wife and I took the car and picked them up on the other side. The to black dots in the picture is my daugthers heading to the valley to the left in the picture.
It got more cloudy on the way home with rain in the evening.

I visited Norway three times . I drove all the way from karlskrona in Sweeden through half of Norway all the way up to Aalesund. It is a beautiful country with beautiful scenery.

Happy Easter Sunday to you and your family, Harald! It is amazing that Ester tradition requires a lot of training!!! But seeing your previous posts it looks like you are always on your feet and for your family this is not a big task either. I enjoyed very much the pictures, beautiful scenery and astonishing nature. Thank you very much for nice comment. I love being out in the nature, maybe to much of it sometimes, hope you dont get bored of it. It is very interesting to see and learn a little from different part of the world. I think your part of the world for example are different and exotic from what I am used to.

In theory you can pin anything on the map because you just get a bit of code from it, but if course we prefer if it's travel related. The worse case is that we will ignore it during curation 😊
Hikes can be travels as welll what's home to you is travelling to others. It's all about sharing great places with everyone else. Hope that helps .
