Hiking Suikerboschfontein - Part 11 - a Doctors speculations

in #hiking8 years ago

One of the highlights of the Hike is a rather speculative set of stone walling. Labeled the Chariot of the Dying Sun.

The site it is rather well preserved and quite intricate.

There is an aluminium plaque in the center of the central feature for hikers to examine.

It documents all the walls and major stones in the area.

Lines are drawn to indicate various compas bearings and alignments of major features, openings and intricacies of the walling.

These are then linked up to other walled enclosures in the area. One to the South called the South Wheel.

The one to the north labeled the North Wheel.

These are speculated to date to the first Millennium BC... Built by Indian's from the Indian Subcontinent, perusing gold in the rivers of the area.

I have my doubts, which I will discuss in a further post

To be continued...
