Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
We decided to hike the Chapel loop which was advertised as a 10+ mike hike. We measured the hike at 12.3 miles, but that could of been the side hikes we did to get photos.
This is not an easy hike so it’s not recommend for amateurs, but we are avid hikers so in my opinion it was not too hard. It took us about 4 hours, but we stopped a lot for photos because the rocks are just so beautiful.

One of the most interesting sites is Chapel Rock. The tree on the top has a big root that goes across the gap to the mainland and this is were it gets most of it’s water and nutrients. There use to be a rock arch that supported the roots, but it has since collapsed in the harsh Superior weather.

It was perfect weather for a hike. Every other time I’ve been it’s been raining or foggy so I feel lucky to have the opportunity to get such cool photos.
