Honestly, I think it will make the circle jerks bigger while those who need the support go even hungrier than before.

Can it be , we are all diffrent and there for 'act' diffrently here? in my case, i try to upv small acts BUT they have to upv me first, secondly, i alwasy give back a valied upv BUT i NEVER give back a 100% even if that whats got casted to me.. see the duoble standard here??? and im a huge fan of redfishlets as i belive we need them :)
I get what you say, but I spend a lot of time on my writing, and the Curies I get are the only substantial support I get. So, yeah, I'm not keen on losing that huge amount fortnightly.
Saying that, I value the comments I get from the Curie trail as much as I value the upvote.
Yes, the redfish are vital. If they are not supported and encouraged, they will leave - and that's where the future of the platform is.
Goody :) i do that on my pictures instead ;) but we still spend tons of time here on the platform.... I see it as work, as i make money here, and my act needs caring, im dependent on comunication , so coments & upv are equally importent to me PLUS i have fun LOL ;)
