OUR SEASONS (part 1 )

*In myanmar we have three seasons in a year. They are the hot season, the rainy season and the cold season.Each season lasts about four months. The hot season begins in March and ends in May. The rainy season or the monsoon sets in about the middle of May and goes on till the middle of october. Then comes the cold season which lasts from November till Februay.

*Each season has its own charm and it own important events. Most of us usually do not like the hot season because it is so hot that we perspire a lot in the day and can hardly sleep at night. But it is during this season that we enjoy many festivals incuding the most injoyable Water Featival. After the scorching heat, we have abundant rain in the rainy seaseon. The sky is cloudy most of the time and travel by land becomes somewhat difficult, but travel by boat becomes easy. Fish, fruits and vegetables are most abundant in this season. In the cold season the sky brightens up and flowers come into bloom. People become cheerful and gay. If there were only one season in our country, life would become monotonous and dull. We would not be ableto produce the various crops whichwe are producing now.
