The front-end is basically on hold as they work on mobile and communities.

That's not true at all. The front end is where the communities work is happening.

Sag mal @sneak - Du sprichst schon Deutsch richtig? Gruß aus München!

Hiya. :) I can read ok but make no claims to speaking well.

Ok no worries - will get back with several HF19 questions these days @sneak - thanks for replying and greetings Berlin.

Hi Sneak - thanks for the clarification. I may have misunderstood his point/question, but I am pretty sure he was getting at the lack of any new features (besides communities). I think the community has gotten used to it and at least stopped complaining (for the most part) but a lot of people give feedback that the front end side is missing a lot of bells and whistles, and the layout isn't the most attractive. The response that I generally give to that is that those types of things are on hold while Steemit works on higher priorities (i.e. mobile and communities).

Great question! A lot of the problems could be fixed by adding proper sorting features, favorites/lists and features like that to make it more user friendly. But it can never hurt to first focus on the technical foundation to make that absolutely solid before you make it more user friendly.

P.S.: i like your articles a lot :)
