Here is my take on it.
Stop guessing whats its impact would be on money making.
What Steemit is giving you is already "Extra"
Please limit your greed, Focus on Content.
Thank you

Interesting. I think most of us on here are here to make money. We work hard on our posts and put a lot of hours into Steemit. I would hardly consider worrying about making money greed. The reason people are making awesome content and posting on this platform is because it gets rewarded by the community. This is the great thing about Steemit. Just my thoughts.
Well, obviously rewards and content walk hand-in-hand, but the thing I remind myself of is that I was never offered a job here; Steemit is not my employer and they "owe" me nothing whatsoever for my efforts. Which is why I always advise people-- newcomers and veterans alike-- to trade the idea of "making money" for "getting rewards."
Think about it, for a moment: If you are a writer, artist, graphic designer, poet or other creative... if you create something with the possibility that there might be a reward, you do what? You put your heart and soul into doing your very best... and odds are it becomes seen and rewarded.
When you're doing something "for money," things immediately become more formulaic; what you're engaged in is a more calculating process of "if I do X, I can get Y results." Much authenticity goes out the window... and the content may even become sort of stilted and mechanical. And-- oddly enough-- it mostly ends up not doing as well.
Again, this is just my opinion, but it's rooted in 20 years of working with "social content."
Exactly
We'll see what happens. Thanks for being reasonable haha.
Lol ;)
Agreed! You have perhaps heard of the old truism-- I think it was the title of a book, even: "Do what you love, the money will follow."
I think that's the best approach around here. Build your community; build your "personal brand," and if you do that well... you will end up getting rewarded.
I think people tend to forget that the content THEY are attracted to reflects a poster's passions... not "I'm worried about making money."
Unless, of course, a person is just "a mindless automaton." I don't have any good advice for "mindless automatons."
Exactly..
"Do what you love" I am a firm believer of that.
And I feel strange as I am hanging around with people full of greed, always thinking about the next clever post to make to get some quick dollars.
Again I would stick to my Minimalist Photos whether it makes money here or not.
Because I do not want to create content with a prior thought in my mind as to how much money that content will make.
I do not want to dilute the purity of my Art. Never, even for a Million Dollars.
I otherwise know how profitable it is to post about CryptoCurrencies, Sunset Shots, Cute Pet Pictures, Food Blogging, etc etc..
On the surface, we can argue that "there is room for everyone" on Steemit. That only makes sense, as we have a certain pride in the idea that there is "no censorship" here.
Fine.
But we also have a responsibility-- and I mean we ALL have that-- to maintain the best health of the community as a whole. If the landscape becomes too dominated by the "make money" crowd, the underlying quality that makes Steemit attractive in the first place suffers...and the platform may slowly die.
Agreed
Hey..I'm not mindless..;)
I would never even say Hi to these clever Greedy people in real life.
Good :)
