TL;DMI (Too Long; Didn't Make It)

• BIG Update on Steemit.com regarding your wallet. Don't Panic. This is not a drill.
  Steemit decided to removed the wallet from Steemit.com and create a new stand alone wallet: steemitwallet.com. The idea behind this is to make it safer for you to regularly use Steemit.com, without needing ALL your keys.

If you're like many of us, we've long since switched to KEYCHAIN (more about that in THIS post and are now using SteemPeak.com for everything. (Cause it's totally awesome.)

However, if change is hard (no worries), @eonwarped created a thing just for you! He has taken all the blockchain info and copied it to another landing UI that looks EXACTLY like Steemit.com, sans the ads... Oh! And you can log in using KEYCHAIN. So, win-win. Eon's sweet site: https://cryptoempirebot.com/

One more alternative: Brave Browser. We talked just a bit about this. You do NOT see ads on Steemit.com when you use this browser, plus you can earn BAT (Basic Attention Tokens) just for browsing and using the internet as you would. It's the way the future. I'm pretty excited about all they are able to implement and how fast. Go check them out (if ya wanna).

• More about KEYS
  • They are IMPORTANT!
  • Physically write down ALL your keys (Master, Private, etc.) and hide them somewhere in your house.
  • Try to NOT store any keys on any internet devices. Leaving your keys in KEYCHAIN and logging out is completely safe. Do NOT leave them stored in the auto browser settings.
  • Maybe even store them on a USB flash drive hidden in the bottom drawer of your desk.
  • NEVER use your Master Password to sign in.
  • If you are signed in with your Active key and someone hacks you, they will ONLY be able to steal your LIQUID Steem/SBD. However, if you were signed in with your Master key, they could change everything and you would be locked out.
  • ASK if you're unsure! We are here to help! We can't all win if we don't understand the game.
• BEAR MARKET!
  • LOL! So during the meeting (yesterday), there was a teeny bear market. Right now? As I'm writing this? Bitcoin just CRUSHED $5300!!! Wooohooo! Is this the time of the change? Is our crypto winter over? We even joked about how we should all be buying more cause no way would we be waking up to it lower! So far... so good. #thisisnotfinancialadvice
• The NEW new Helpie Tokens (HLPE) have dropped!
  • Yup. We made another one. Turns out, we were gonna need more than a 1000... . So, if you have the existing HLP tokens... just hold onto those. There are plans for the future.
  • I (carrieallen) will be making a post today/tomorrow sometime to explain ALL THE THINGS related to the tokens. It will be grand.
